Navigate Life's Challenges, Discover Your Strength
My name is Ulli and I am a counsellor providing individual therapy and couples counselling in Ascot, Guildford and online.
I provide both long- and short-term counselling for adults in a friendly, safe, and confidential environment. My service offers a supportive space where you can make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings that may feel overwhelming when faced alone. Here, you can explore your emotions and better understand yourself and your history in order to effect positive change.
I work with both individuals and couples.
In addition to my Ascot and Guildford counselling rooms I can also offer sessions online from the comfort of your home.
I assist clients and couples in overcoming and managing stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, life changes, trauma, relationship difficulties at home or work, and low self-esteem.
Whether in person or online, I am here to help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, understand yourself better and figure out new ways to cope with life’s challenges or to work with problems in your relationship.
As a qualified integrative counsellor, I draw from a variety of psychological models to meet each client's unique needs. Recognizing that everyone is different, I tailor my approach to suit you individually, offering a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your identity, needs, and potential.
I help couples work through challenges to improve their relationship or to separate safely if needed.

My name is Ulrike but everyone knows me as Ulli (which is pronounced just like “woolly but without the “w”). My own path to becoming a counsellor was inspired by personal experiences that highlighted the value of seeking support during challenging times. I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes we need extra help to find our way.
Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.
For couples this can be a space where you have some support in expressing yourself safely.
Trouble with a relationship; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression - many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
I can help you to work together as a couple to improve communication and understanding. You might be looking to improve your relationship in general, have issues with jealousy or infidelity or looking to separate safely.
Couples Counselling can help you understand why you act or react the way you do and together we can start to make changes to help you move forward.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy sessions from my practice based in Ascot, reaching clients from Berkshire, Surrey,Hampshire and surrounding areas. 1hr free street parking is available nearby.
In Guildford my practice is located in the ground floor of the Guilford Institute building with carparks close by.
Online sessions are also available via a secure video conference platform. Get in touch to learn more about online counselling.
Appointments are available for in-person and online counselling and run weekly at £70-£85 per 50min session for individual clients and £120 for 60min session for couples.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone conversation for individuals for you to get a sense of my approach and ask any questions you may have. During this time, we can briefly discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve, without any commitment. This allows you to consider whether we are a good fit for each other and if you'd like to proceed. I will provide you with my availability, and we can plan the next steps.
In our first full session, we can delve deeper into your circumstances, history and any specific issues you want to focus on, as well as discuss how we will work together.
If you are looking for couples counselling I can offer weekly or fortnightly sessions for both long and short term work. I also offer intensive workshops.
